The Hotel Palazzo San Niccolò is located in Piazza Ferrucci, in the heart of the historical centre of Radda in Chianti, a special village in the countryside around Siena.

The hall of the hotel

The palace, that has been recently restored, is one of the most ancient and beautiful building in the village and the union of ancient-modern is strongly present in the hall with frescoes and in the breakfast room. The bedrooms, in three floors, are modern furnished with cotto pavement and ceilings with frescoes. They are equipped with all the comforts: air conditioning and heating, safe box and minibar, linen for guests, telephone with direct line and internet. The hotel is perfect for families and couples that want discover and visit the land of Chianti, as the position of the villane of Radda.


The hotel has a nice little internal garden, where it is possible to have breakfast, lunch and aperitif, immersed in peace. The hotel has lift,internet point and free wireless net for its guests. The wine bar of the hotel is in the main square of the village. The Hotel Palazzo San Niccolò is glad to welcome pets.

The crest of palace

There are not many information about the origins of the Palace; what we know is due to the big fresco in the Frescoes Hall. An Angel that puts together with an olive branch 2 Families: Ciacci and Palagi. But for something strange there was not any marriage.


Mr Palagi decides to stay alone with his 14 lands and at his death he left all his properties to the sons of the waitress that lived in the palace without creating their own family. When one of them died, only one was the owner of the building, making Palazzo San Niccolò the house of his cats.
